This document provides the firmware release note and history of the below products:

This firmware provides the following modifications:

[Upgrade Requirements]:

1. The latest firmware version of Switch
2. Workstation with Microsoft IE 7.0 or above.
3. TFTP server.


[Upgrade procedure]:

1. Connect the RJ-45 UTP cable to the target Switch.

2. Login is required to access the Web interface after the Switch boot completes successfully. The factory default user name and password are "admin".

3. After Web main screen appears, click the "System"\"TFTP Firmware Upgrade" on the left side of the menu.  

4. The screen will be direct to the "TFTP Firmware Upgrade" page and enter values as shown below.
   a. Enter TFTP IP address.
   b. Firmware File Name: please enter firmware file name, like "FW-WGSW-28040_V3.0b140924.bix"

5. Click the "Upgrade" button to start the firmware upgrade procedure. 

6. The system would pop up the confirm message and click OK". The Switch will start the TFTP upgrade procedure.

7. Please don't power off the Switch while the procedure is underway.

8. Please check your TFTP server application to confirm the TFTP file is well transmitted to the Switch.

9. The Switch will reboot then, and it will take 2 to 3 minutes for the TFTP firmware upgrade and reboot procedure to complete. 
   Please wait for the process complete.

10. Once the new software is loaded to the system successfully, the Login screen appears. 

11. Enter the user name and password to login the Switch.

12. Relogin the Switch via Web browser. Please click the "System \ "System Information" to double-check if the firmware is upgraded successfully.
